Kitchen and fireplace renovation

We renovated the main floor of this Drake Landing home, about 1,000 sq ft. The kitchen is now twice the size, with a new lighting layout, and it works far better day to day. The existing flooring stayed.

In the living room, the old corner fireplace came out. A new fireplace, centred on the wall with new venting, now anchors the room, with built-in cabinets and shelves on either side.

Oak ties the two rooms together. It shows up in the island, the range hood, the floating shelves, the mantel and the built-ins.
